Pediatric Cardiology Specialist

Dr. Hani Ghawi is the founder and Medical Director of the Inland Empire Pediatric Cardiology and an attending physician at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Desert Valley Hospital, San Bernardino Medical Center, Community Hospital of San Bernadino, and San Antonio Reginal Hospital in Upland. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics and he is a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Pediatrics, FAAP, Arab Board of Pediatrics, and a Fellow of the Society for Echocardiogram, FASE.

Personal Experience

Dr. Hani Ghawi is the founder and Medical Director of the Inland Empire Pediatric Cardiology, and an attending physician at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Desert Valley Hospital, San Bernardino Medical Center, Community Hospital of San Bernadino, and San Antonio Reginal Hospital in Upland.

He is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics and he is a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Pediatrics, FAAP, Arab Board of Pediatrics, and a Fellow of the Society for Echocardiogram, FASE.

He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center LSUHSC, in Shreveport LA. He then completed his Pediatric Cardiology fellowship training at the Rush Children’s Hospital Chicago in Illinois. Following his fellowship, he completed Advanced training in non-invasive imaging – fetal and pediatric cardiology, focusing on fetal and pediatric Echocardiograms at the University of Texas Southwestern University in Dallas, TX.

Before moving to California, he was an attending physician at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL. He was the Director of Fetal Cardiology as well as the Director of Pediatric Cardiology Teaching where he earned the Best Teaching award in 2012.

Dr. Ghawi has presented his research at numerous meetings nationally and internationally. He actively contributes abstracts, articles, and reviews for a number of peer-reviewed medical journals. His track record in academic success demonstrates his unrelenting commitment to his work delivering compassionate care to every patient and ensuring patient satisfaction while adhering to the highest level of integrity and ethics.

Dr. Ghawi enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, photography, and playing with his two sons. He is proud to call the Inland Empire – California his home.
